Service has shaped my life and guided my leadership.
For more than 23 years in the military and nearly two decades in law enforcement, I’ve stood beside families in crisis, supported victims, and worked every day to keep our communities safe. As a patrol officer and detective, I meet people on the hardest day of their lives, when tragedy or crime has changed everything.
I’ve sat at kitchen tables with parents who don’t know what to do next.
I’ve stood with victims who just need someone to listen.
I’ve watched families struggle with problems that grew quietly for years before anyone stepped in.
Those moments stay with you.
But this isn’t just where I work. Whatcom County is my home.
It’s my family’s home, and it has been for generations.
This is where I was raised. Where my family built their lives. Where my children are growing up. When I talk about protecting our community, I’m talking about protecting the place that shaped me, and the people who trusted me to serve them.
That’s why I’m stepping forward to serve as your State Representative.
I talk every day with hardworking people who are doing everything right, and still feel like they’re falling behind.
Parents worried about whether they can afford to stay in the community where their children are growing up. Seniors quietly choosing between prescriptions and groceries. Young families are wondering if homeownership will ever be possible. These conversations aren’t political talking points. They’re personal. And when you’ve lived here for generations like my family has, you don’t see “voters.” I see neighbors.
